All over America we are meeting people who really want to love God and love people more completely. Unfortunately, many of those people feel alone and have no clue where to start. In 2012 we will begin changing that with the launch of Unthinkable Communities. This new initiative will unite those who have embraced the challenge to love God and love people more, provide tangible resources as a means to equip their service, and encourage them through community with other like-minded believers. We plan to launch in four cities in 2012 with many more to come in future years.
We will have more on this in the coming weeks!
The Beauty of Sanctification

I’ve heard the word sanctify for most of my life, yet until recently I’m not sure I really ever knew what it meant. Dictionary.com defines it as “to make holy; set apart as sacred; consecrate.” The word is a verb and at its core is an expectation that something will change from one state to another. But change is hard, isn’t it? When someone works out, he is changing his body from one state to another and at times that hurts. The change is good, but the process is painful. When someone chooses to stop spending time around specific people who negatively impact them, there are times of hurt. The change is good, but the process is painful.
I’m Evil… but God is Good and that is Enough
This weekend I attended a retreat in northeast Tennessee called Souly Business. One of the big aspects of the retreat is disconnecting. They ask everyone who attends to turn off their phones so that they can be fully present for the weekend. Not only did I find myself consistently tempted to check my email, this just happened to be the weekend that Georgia played Auburn, with big SEC implications (I’m just being honest). I did not want to give up my phone, but I did, with the exception of an occasional call or text to my girlfriend. Thankfully, Georgia destroyed Auburn and the world continued to operate without me checking my emails for 48 hours.

From Colorado: Updates All Week
This week you will definitely notice an increased social media presence from all of us at Unthinkable. Throughout the coming days, our guys will be updating via Twitter about all of the happenings as we conclude the filming phase of our new documentary on orphans in America. We hope you will follow us so that you will know exactly what you can pray for us about.
Together, we will change the course of orphan care in the American Church.
Hello Mississippi College!

To the Students, Faculty and Staff of Mississippi College…
It is a privilege to be in Clinton this week for your annual Serve Week! I have no doubt that the Lord has brought me here, and I can’t wait to see how He communicates more of His character to me through many of you while I am here.
Love Trumps Compassion
It has become “cool” to serve the downtrodden within the American Christian experience. Groups ranging from children in foster care, the homeless, the elderly, prisoners and everyone in between are experiencing the apparent surge of more socially active Christian Church in America. Let me be first to express my genuine joy for this. It was Jesus who said “whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”[1] The importance of being a champion for the poor seems to be great in the eyes of Jesus; thus, it is great in my eyes as well.
Alabama Tornado Relief Report (THANK YOU!)
The most important thing about the strategy of Unthinkable is that we do NOT operate alone. We are a part of the global Church. We will always operate with our brothers and sisters. Below are the people who made last week the rich blessing it was.
